Scale Up East Sussex is a FREE six-month programme for ambitious East Sussex businesses that are ready to grow, strengthen their leadership and overcome the challenges that come with scaling.
Delivered by Sussex Innovation, the programme brings together a group of local business leaders to learn from experienced specialists, successful founders and each other. Through practical workshops, peer-to-peer support and tailored one-to-one mentoring, you will have the space and expertise to tackle barriers to growth and turn your ambitions into action.

Scale Up East Sussex combines expert-led sessions with practical problem-solving and peer support, helping you step back from the day-to-day running of your business and focus on what is needed for its next stage of growth.
The programme includes:
- Monthly workshops covering key growth and leadership challenges
- Facilitated peer-to-peer sessions to work through live business issues
- Insights and Q&As with successful founders and business leaders
- Tailored one-to-one mentoring focused on a specific barrier to growth
- Opportunities to build lasting connections with other ambitious East Sussex businesses.
Workshop topics will include sustainable growth, finance and funding, leadership and talent, emerging technologies and productivity, and sales and marketing strategy.
Who can join?
Scale Up East Sussex is designed for ambitious businesses that:
- Are actively trading, with a trading presence and commercial premises in East Sussex*
- Have between 4 and 50 employees
- Are ready and able to grow
- Are committed to taking part in the six-month programme and putting their learning into practice.
*East Sussex does not include Brighton and Hove.
Places are limited and businesses will be assessed to make sure the programme is the right fit for their needs and growth ambitions.
